About Unladylike

I was looking for feminist tees to wear while I film reels for my business. There are brands I love overseas but the shipping cost and environmental footprint of ordering from the UK every time I want a new shirt got old fast. And the Australian options I found were a bit too polite for my taste.

So I started making some for myself.

Then I thought — what the hell, maybe someone else wants these.

So here we are.

The slogans are things I'd actually say. If they match your vibe we should probably be mates.

The blanks are ethically made, printed in Australia, sourced from suppliers who take their environmental footprint seriously and pay their workers — who are, like, predominantly women — properly. Because you shouldn't have to fuel the castigation of the planet or someone's exploitation just to wear a smartarse tee.

10% of every sale goes to WIRE — the Women's Information and Referral Exchange. WIRE provides free support, information and referrals to women, non-binary and gender diverse people across Victoria on pretty much any issue: housing, financial literacy, family violence, legal advice, employment. They're small, they're Melbourne-based, and they do genuinely useful work for people who need it. We chose them because the people buying these tees and the people WIRE serves aren't separate groups.

Unladylike operates on the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation. Sovereignty was never ceded.
